I kept wanting to give her a dose of Syrup of Figs. Michael Cerveris in In the Next Room. Because, after all, it's all about appearances. But i personally felt that reviewers and the media make it out to be more then it actually was. I never liked the DVD as much as I loved the show on Broadway - something doesn't quite translate, or perhaps the direction for camera was just lacking - I can see how you'd find the DVD on the boring side, but the actual live production was anything BUT. I lost to a tubby dude who actually danced during his routine, making his belly jiggle like jelly.
