By the way, not sure if you have the latest updates to the article. A note about the choke [between the balun and the feedline]. The antenna itself can handle 1KW or more power but the balun cannot. The DX'pedition team also had a beam and verticals, but the New Carolina Windom was the antenna they used. I could not find any improvement in performance over a standard dipole. The length is not critical but should be no shorter than about 12 inches. The choke [line-isolator] is simply a straight piece of coax with ferrite cores strung on it.
